A new era in agriculture has emerged, which will put understanding ecology front and centre for on-farm decision making and require a shift to holistic thinking.

Board Director (Vice President)
Institute Of Ecological Agriculture
The Australian Institute of Ecological Agriculture [IEA] is a practitioner-led co-operative, committed to transforming agriculture by encouraging ecological and holistic thinking. which I am a member and I highly recommend farmers and practitioners become a member also.
Comprising a diverse membership of both farmers and non-farmers, IEA works with nature and people to take action toward more regenerative agriculture; rebuilding biodiversity, producing healthy food, and supporting stronger communities. We have a strong focus on the role of ethics in agricultural landscapes, as well as the healthy functioning of ecological systems.
Structured as a co-operative, our members vote on our advocacy direction; have the opportunity to engage in professional development, including the IEA Accreditation Program; and elect a board who lobby on their behalf when interacting with other organisations or governments.
There are numerous opportunities to get involved with IEA and contribute to making a positive impact, reach out or become a member.
Intention
To promote ecological and regenerative farming, forestry and food systems through advocacy, education and professional development.
Vision
An ecological agriculture that is regenerative, holistic and ethical; expressing bio-diverse landscapes with biologically enriched soils, that provide healthy food and create vibrant communities.
